Unlike
plantation-grown cacao, Green and Black’s
farmers grow their cocoa trees alongside other crops, including
avocado, pineapple, coffee, papaya and bananas, under the shade
of indigenous trees like mahogany, cedar and teak. No pesticides
are used. They process the chocolate from the whole cocoa bean,
and then use special ingredients like real Bourbon vanilla and
organic sugar, and a lengthy conching phase to reveal the intense
