About Blue Frog Chocolates

Chocolate, with it's magnificent history, is one of the great foods of the world. It is our belief that providing access to quality chocolate and the pleasure that accompanies it will, in some small way, influence and improve the mental, emotional, and physical health of the individual and their community.

At Blue Frog Chocolates™ our aim is to provide a unique and eclectic collection of interesting, delicious, and high quality confections selected from around the world. It is our hope that in doing so, while giving our customers a fun, pleasurable and memorable shopping experience, we help to bring a bit of enjoyment into our customers lives.

Blue Frog Chocolates™ opened in the summer of 2000 in a quaint nearly-100 year old cottage on Magazine Street in uptown New Orleans. We are a locally conceived, owned and family-operated. Soon thereafter, we were acknowledged for our eclectic and delicious collection of domestic and international confections, by gourmet saavy New Orleanians, as the “Best Candy Shop” in Gambit Weekly’s annual “Best Of New Orleans” Survey – an honor we’ve won for 6 consecutive years.

Coming to New Orleans?
Venture out of the downtown and French Quarter areas to visit the uniquely beautiful and stately residential areas of the garden district and then, our part of town, Uptown New Orleans. We are just a few blocks from Audubon Park and from Tulane and Loyola University, on what’s come to be called “the sliver by the river” on historic Magazine Street - “Six miles of antiques, furniture, clothing, dining, gifts, jewelry and much more...Distinctive places that are uniquely New Orleans!”
